Notes:

Signing on no later than 20 minutes ahead of the start time please.

The course numbers K17/5 and K17/10 are the usual club course but with the start moved. The start for both distances is on the flat over the long drag after the hill, approaching the New Inn traffic Island. The finish is unchanged so in the 5 you will start, turn left at the New Inn and go past the finish, complete the lap past the start and turn left again at the New Inn and go to the original finish.

In the 10 you will make three left turns at the New Inn.

The start is at the field gate on the lane approaching the New Inn approximately 250 yards before the New Inn.

The approximate distances will become 10.7 and 5.9 miles.

Riders will need to allow an additional time of at least 5 minutes to get to the start from the Clubhouse.

Here is an example of John’s notes on the Stratford Sprint – 12th May

Stratford Tri:  Pool Tri:  http://www.uktriathlon.co.uk/stratford/index.htm

Nice day out if the weather is good!  Pool tri based in the middle of Stratford on Avon.  I think the pool is 33m so this makes for an interesting swim where one does 3 lengths and then swims under the ropes to the next lane and so on.  Bike is good leaving Stratford to the North and dropping back down a hill into town and the leisure centre.  Run is along a track to the edge of the river.  Good when it is dry!  Not so good in a torrential downpour when it does get a little muddy.  Facilities are good and close to town if you wish to have an afternoon out with the family.  As with all of these leisure centre triathlons, the starts commence early and go on for some 3-4 hours.  Your start time will be based on your 400m swim time.  Fib if you want to swim close to a friend!
