Bosworth Sprint OW Tri Click here
Another great novice triathlon.  Bosworth is a great place to swim with a 750m lake circuit in which if you so wished you could basically stand up at any time (well if you’re nearly 6’ tall).  Bike circuit has some rolling hills but they aren’t too severe.  Only busy part is a section of about 2 miles along the A444 the rest of the route takes the athletes through the countryside entering Market Bosworth before descending back into the water park.  The run stays in the water park with a double circuit around the lake.  This is a copy of the Spring and Autumn No Frills Duathlon with a swim included.  Always a popular MVH event that can be recommended to all.

Foremarke Pool Tri Click here
Foremarke is always such a popular MVH event that this year we decided to use it as our sprint championship race. Based at Foremark school just south of Derby and utilising the school pool, the ride does a circuit around Foremark taking in Repton, Hartshorne and Ticknall before returning to Foremarke.  A popular event well supported by MVH competitors and supporters who generally use the event as a focus for the Sunday bike ride in which we can give great support for fellow club members.  A recommended event for all those nervous of open water and for first time novices.

BRAT OW Tri Click here
Another great open water triathlon for first timers. The swim is around the water ski lake near Tamworth and then the bike is a flat 20km around the area. The run is loops around the lake with a cheeky little hill to keep everyone challenged. Everyone who does this race enjoys it!

Derby Sprint Pool Tri Click here
This previously has always been the MVH sprint distance race, and is always a firm favourite with club. It is a pool sprint from Etwall pool, followed by a short 18km bike around the country lanes surrounding Etwall and Hilton. The run is an out and back style run, that starts off up hill, but then finishes with a long down hill! Always very well supported and great for any novices / first timers.
