Switzerland Cycle sportif 2013 – AlpenBrevet

A cycling sportif that is just a bit different than your Peak District route.

This is one of this Jaw dropping cycle runs that takes in loads of Swiss Alps scenary and the odd hairpin and mountain climb on route.

A choice of 3 routes – 132km, 172km or the monster 276km.  The date 31st August 2013.  Very good value.

MVH members Brian and Stacey Welsh invite you to join them on the 276km ride, which they plan to start from 0600hrs.

The cycle route choices are worth reviewing – probably quite a close review is needed and a triple chainring may be a helpful consideration.

Each year we generate about a hundred ex rental wetsuit – most in first class condition having only had one rental. We have available:-

  • 2XU Team T2 hiredonly once – in perfect condition – most sizes still available – special offer for £149 at the moment
  • 2XU Team T2 hired two and three times – only selected sizes
  • 2XU Race R2 / Velocity V2 – most of these have already sold but there are about 12 left
  • Blue Seventy – very few mens sizes left, Womens in selected sizes

Swimming At Abbotts Bromley every Thursday 7.30pm

The second coached swimming session of the week is on a Thursday at 7.30pm at Abbotts Bromley School.

A 6 lane – 23m pool – that rewards you with thinking you are swimming faster lengths.  (Nothing to do with fact that pool length is 2 metres shorter!)

Following the success of last year, MVH together with Burntwood Tri Club have booked the Abbotts Bromley school swimming pool for the winter 2013 season.

A superb session, the coached session complements the Saturday swim session, following a similar programme.  With a mix of MVH and Burntwood coaches.

At least two swim sessions a week does make a difference to the development of technique and in the supporting swim conditioning and endurance.
