Club Championship Rules
Revised Nov 2018
The MVH Tri Club Championship determines the awards for:
- Club Handicap Male & Female Champion and runner-up.
- Veteran Handicap Champion Male and Female
- Novice Handicap Male & Female Champion
A few basic rules:
- You must be a fully paid up member of the club to qualify for the championship. Races will not be backdated. I.e. If you join after the first two races of the season but competed in those races, even if you declared your club as MVH, these races will not count if you were not a fully paid member of MVH.
- You must enter the race with MVH Triathlon Club” as your Club name;
- You should try to race in MVH Triathlon Club race kit where possible (however this is not essential).
- Seniority of the Championship trophies is as follows – Club Handicap, then Veteran Handicap, then Novice Handicap.
- Eligability for the Club Championships will require a minimum of 3 races. If more than 3 races are completed then the best three races will be counted in the championship rankings.
- Any member who has completed 3 races is eligible for one of the three championships. However if the same member has won the Club Handicap championship as well as the Novice Handicap championship or veteran Handicap, then in this case the Club Handicap Championship trophy title prevails. The relevant forfeited trophy will pass down to the next member within the final table of results.
