Cycle

Welcome to our triathlon cycling pages, the second element of a Triathlon race is the cycle event.

The ability to be able to cycle at a consistent pace so that the triathlete can complete the run element of a triathlon is a critical skill for triahlon success. Go too fast on the cycle and potentially the legs will give up during the run.  Go too slow on the bike and the time lost may be just too much to recover when running.

Please note these are not ‘coached’ rides and riders attend at their own risk and will not be allowed to participate without a helmet.

See Facebook (members group) for further details of any planned rides or to share your plans with other members

Also, for members only (secure closed groups):

On Strava? Join MVH under the club section here and find out which of your fellow members are “secret training”. Give Kudos and expect to observe some KOM bragging rights! Great for getting ideas for run routes and bike routes from other members in your area.

On Garmin? Connect with MVH here Bike leads using club Garmins will upload routes

Use Facebook to keep abreast of any last minute changes to planned group rides (weather, occasional different location etc). Also, most weeks someone uploads the rides so you can view or save the courses if you like.
