Open water swimming commenced on the 3rd May! The water quality has been tested and is AOK. Amy-Jo is working on a registration and spotters Rota. Please bring your diaries along to Repton and open water swimming to volunteer.

Another great summer of open water swimming beckons.

For the first open water swim you will need to bring along the completed ‘waiver form‘ for 2014.   Or complete the waiver form on the night.

Open water swim sessions are:

Saturdays 09:30 to 11:30

Wednesdays 18:30 to 19:30

11 MVHers take to East Leake in the first of the 2014 season triathlon.

A pool dash for 400m, followed by a reasonably sunny bike ride and a run – that was actually ok.

Breaking the hour for the 400m swim, 20km bike and 5km run was MVHer Alex Mead, pushed to 3rd place in the ultra competitive 30-39 age group.

8 out of the 11 MVH Triathletes completed this sprint in less than 1 hr 20mins with 6 less than 1hr 15mins which is a definite gauntlet down to all those MVHers who declined the March triathlon.

More stats.  6 MVH were in top 5 in age group!  with 3 in the top 3 in their respective age groups.  Well done all.
