Open Water swimming started on Wednesday 8th May 2013 and as in previous years, we all take turns with open water registration and observing the swimmers.
Open Water Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings 6.30pm to 7.30pm and on Saturday’s 0930 to 1130am.
We need two people per open water session. One to register the swimmers in, to brief new to open water swimmers and to register the swimmers out following their swim. The second role is keeping an eye on the swimmers during the sessions – alert to anyone in any difficulty.
Ideally and this has worked well in the past, registrars and observers are replaced during the open water session with other MVH members who have already enjoyed their swim. In this way everyone has the opportunity to swim.
