AGE GROUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Up to 5,000 of the World’s best International Age Group amateur athletes will be competing to become World Champions in their respective 5 year age groups. With more than 40 countries expected to be represented, this will create an amazing atmosphere in and around Hyde Park.
Expect the various age group world championship races to be spread out over at least four days of competition with the Opening Ceremony taking place on 11 September 2013 and the Closing Ceremony taking place on 15 September 2013.
Entry Info
All Age Group athletes looking to race at the World Championship Races are required to qualify for their national teams. See BTF website for further details of the qualifying races for the aquathon, sprint and standard distances.
As the host nation Great Britain has 25 slots available per Age-Group.
However – if you don’t want to go for the qualify route you still have the chance to compete in the Open Age Group Races. These are ballot entries to the events and already the Olympic is oversubscribed. There are still opportunities to enter the sprint ballot.
The ballot closing date is 5th March – so be prompt if this is for you...
Ok – so lets be optimistic – several MVH are going to qualify as GB age group competitors for London 2103
