Clumber Park Duathlon – Saturday 11th May

Clumber is back – without the snow!  Saturday 11th May

A superb race, popular and an event that provides a good insight into how the 2013 season training is progressing.

Over to John Shelton-Smith for his perspective:

Clumber park Duathlon rearranged after bad weather in March. Another qualifier for the world champs in both Sprint and Standard distances.

Beautiful area and always a favourite for MVH members.

Sprint (Olympic): Start with a 5k (10km) run through the parkland followed by a scenic bike course 20km (40km) through a tree lined route with rolling hills which possibly takes away some of the sightseeing!

Bike is followed by a rapid 2.5k (5km) final run and then the finish.

Would have been terrible in the cold but May will be much warmer (we hope!)  Don’t forget this is a National Trust site and car park fees will apply. (Unless you are National Trust members when car parking is free)
